A little history of Edward Russell Johnston
After spending several years working for a multi-national construction company, Edward moved to Citrus County. In 1976, he started a new construction business. In the past 45 years, though change is constantly occurring, quality of life in this part of Florida remains outstanding.
Furthermore, Edward earned his Real Estate license and joined Jack Varnadoe’s Real Estate firm in Crystal River in 1977.
Finally, Edward earned his Real Estate Broker’s license and began Edward Russell Johnston Realty, Inc. In 1985, with Sam Tamposi and Stan Olsen, they formed, Gulf to Lakes Realty, Inc. At the time, Edward was involved in several substantial building projects with Sam and Stan. Eventually, Sam and Stan gave their company shares to Sam’s children, Nicholas and Beth. As a result, Edward continued forward as Edward Russell Johnston Realty, Inc. Above all, Edward still considers both families his friends.

Finally, in 2017, Edward purchased Coldwell Banker Next Generation Realty of Citrus. Currently, employing twenty-three sales agents in two offices located in Crystal River and Homosassa, Florida. Along with the agents, a full time property manager, three secretaries, a sales and general manager.
2021 celebrates 45 years in the construction business and 43 years in the real estate business. That is a significant amount of time and as a result, a considerable amount of experience. Although times have changed with the advent of better technologies, we continue to do business on a personal level.
